ten

log measures, that is, one tenth of the remainder after the teruma, which is close to ten log measures [Tosafot] that I will set aside later—

They are hereby

the first tithe,

and close to

nine

log measures [one tenth of what remains after the teruma and the first tithe] shall henceforth be

the second tithe—

And he redeems it [

transfers its sanctity] the second tithe to which he assigned a designation, onto coins, since this matter can be rectified immediately—

And he drinks immediately

and leaves enough for the teruma and the first tithe—to which he assigned a designation—which he does not drink; and later he will set aside the teruma and the tithe. And we say: It is retroactively clarified that the teruma and the tithe took effect upon these log measures that he set aside
